“Small Bites”
The world nibbles and jerks at me in a hundred different ways. It’s never enough to break me, but sometimes it’s just enough to leave me feeling a little bit less than I was before. Stretched thin.
Sometimes I think there are little pieces of me scattered in places I’ll probably never find again. Watered-down and ultimately insignificant. The weight of obligation…of need, presses against my mind, and I wonder how much can I give before there’s nothing left.
Still, there are parts that cannot be touched. Parts that belong only to me.
