Twin Peaks and the Snoqualmie Valley

The Snoqualmie Valley in Washington state is located about 30 miles east of Seattle and served as the primary real-life backdrop for the iconic television series Twin Peaks, created by David Lynch and Mark Frost.

The series begins with the murder of high school homecoming queen Laura Palmer in the quiet Washington logging town of Twin Peaks. Her death sets off an FBI investigation led by Special Agent Dale Cooper that gradually spirals into something much stranger and more supernatural.

These photos and videos were taken during a recent trip with my son as we explored some of the series’ most iconic filming locations throughout the Snoqualmie Valley.
