Dear friends recently bought me an amazing set of watercolor brushes, among other things. Normally, I would prefer to buy my own art supplies, but they hit it out of the park by somehow knowing exactly what I enjoy working with. This large painting (16×20″) was painted with the brushes they got for me. I sure am a lucky guy.
My work is normally quite small, but I’ve had to take photos for larger artwork like this and others I’ve done recently. Getting rid of the highlights and glare is quite difficult, and I’m still working on a good way to take better, more true-to-life photos.
